Viv Green – Chairman
After retiring from the corporate world I became a Business Mentor with the Prince’s Trust supporting young people wishing to start a business. One of the first young person I supported was setting up a business providing art-based after-school sessions in schools and in the holidays. As a result of working with this business, I saw the positive effect this has on school-
age children. At the end of my mentoring I helped set up Xplore Arts so that these services can be provided to a wider community and the projects that have been delivered has shown how powerful art can be.
Kelli-Marie Sellwood – Trustee
I am a mother, eclectic ecological artist, and permaculture designer. I am passionate about creatively helping to solve some of the overarching problems we find in our world today. The arts and spending time in nature has helped me immensely, guiding me to learn more and share with others, skills and experiences that empower and
inspire creative problem-solving. I believe that we are all born natural artists, and with adequate encouragement and support, we can all find peace, abundance and freedom through artistic expression, that considers and respects, the interconnected web of life we share.
David Herbert – Trustee
As an ex primary teacher and headteacher David is passionate about arts education to enable children to express themselves and gain confidence in doing so, using the knowledge and skills they are taught. Engagement and appreciation of the arts is accessible to all children. It brings them together in discussion and collaboration and builds individual creativity. It gives them a wider view of history, cultures, and ourselves as humans. In fact, their understanding of the arts is only limited by the amount of opportunity we give them to explore!
